Fiddlers Ferry power station consists of four units generating 500 MW, each containing a Mather & Platt 16”-16” Plurovane main boiler feed pump (MBFP) directly driven by a steam turbine, together with two start & standby boiler feed pumps (SSBFP) driven by variable speed motors.
